IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clyde Allen
Burns
October 5, 1962 – September 22, 2021
"Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come to Him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to Him, for the Lord is a great God, a King above all gods."
Clyde Allen Burns, Jr wanted everyone to know and be excited about the Lord, more excited than watching sporting events or attending a concert. He had a passion for people and for sharing God's love for them. Clyde entered heaven on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 58. He was born to Clyde A. Burns, Sr and Diana Lynn Sonnier but was raised by his mother and stepfather, William Dorsey Campbell. On August 22, 1987, Clyde married the love of his life, Kimberly Jean Hill and they resided in both Round Rock and Seguin, Texas. One of Clyde's greatest joys was to know that his children, Kathryn Alaine and James Allen Burette Burns both loved the Lord (3 John 1;4). Clyde was a man who would give his time, labor, funds and humor to help and encourage others. He enjoyed spending time with his two children, mentoring youth, and playing music. He had a passion to steer everyone he met to truly come to love the Lord. He is survived by his wife, children and brothers and sisters including Robin Glines and husband Luke, Michael Cody Campbell, Shannon Campbell, Pat Burns, Clyde Allen Burns Jr (Jr – which is a story for another day), bother-in-laws, Robert Hill and wife Marge, Eric Hill and several nieces and nephews, family members and friends. Additionally, several sponsored South African children, Daniel, Mary, Kolong, and Lena. In lieu of flowers and plants, please consider honoring Clyde through a donation to one of the ministries that Clyde was passionate about: Bet Shalom Church (2424 W. Kingsbury St, Seguin, TX 78155), BEMA Discipleship ( www.Impacttheu.com – Ministry Team – BEMA Ministry), Solomon's Porch Ministries – South African Children's Home (410 Spyglass, McQueeney TX, 78123).
