Codi Lee Downs, age 74 of Seguin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 30, 2024.  Codi was born on July 28, 1950 in Seguin, Texas to LaNell (Hoermann) and James Olen Downs.

Codi was a 1968 graduate of Seguin High School and attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State).  For many years Codi lovingly helped and cared for many people throughout Guadalupe County.

Codi is preceded in death by her father, Olen Downs and her brother, Douglas Clayton "Clay" Downs.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Calesse Carter and husband Scott; grandchildren who knew and loved her as "Mimi", Cole Carter and fiancé Arianna Reynolds, and Kendall Carter and partner David Craig; mother, Nell Downs; brother, Jeff Downs and wife Conee; uncle, King Hoermann and wife Karen; former husband and dear friend, Kenneth Ross Baldwin and wife Terry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.

Private Services will be held.

Codi will always be remembered by many, for her warmth and bright smile.
