Col. William J. Gise, Jr., USAF (ret.), age 94 of Seguin, passed away on March 23, 2015. Col. Gise served in the Army Air Corps and the Air Force during WW II and the Korean War. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Private family graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. Col. Gise was born on June 23, 1920 in Sacramento California to William John and Florence Agnes (Stratton) Gise. He is preceded in death on January 23, 2015 by his loving wife of 71 years, Mary Cecilia Hough Gise, his parents and his sister, Betty Gise Schad. Survivors include son, James Gise and wife Linda; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in his name.
