Col. Lee Russell Heiser, USAF (Ret.), age 81 of Seguin, passed away on July 10, 2022 surrounded by family.

Lee was born July 4, 1941 to George and Thelma Heiser and attended Selinsgrove High School in Pennsylvania. He then attended Penn State University on a wrestling scholarship and was commissioned into the United States Air Force to be a pilot. He retired at Randolph Air Force Base as a full colonel after a 30 year service and began working at Lockheed Martin.  He was a member of the Seguin Sunrise Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his four brothers Nevin, Ray, Harry, and Kenneth. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Heiser, and two sons, Kenneth and Nevin Heiser. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service including military honors will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Emanuel Carpenter officiating.  Private interment will take place at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
