Obituary

Conrad ("Chunk") F. Evetts, passed away on Monday December 17, 2012 at the age of 85. Chunk was a long time resident of Alice TX, but spent the last 17 years as a resident of Kingsbury TX. Chunk will be remembered as a Loving Husband, Father, and Friend to any and all who knew him. Chunk was born on the family farm just outside of Alice TX on September 28, 1927 to J.B and Lydia Evetts. He spent his working life in the South Texas Oil and Gas Industry selling equipment and services. He was a hard working, honest, and always put others before himself. He is survived by his wife Pat Evetts of Kingsbury TX, his sons, Conrad ("Chunk") F. Evetts Jr. of Victoria TX, Timothy A. Evetts of Kingsbury TX, Tab R. Evetts of Schertz TX, Rev. Darryl W. Evetts (CMSgt Ret.) of Ramstein AFB Germany, and Daughter Opal ("Dena") W. Evetts-Rose, and son Heath G. Evetts. Stepsons William Horner of Temple TX, Jeffery Horner of South Padre Island TX, stepdaughters Kimberly Garcia of Temple TX, Karyn Rogers of Austin TX, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren his older brother J.B. Evetts Jr. of Kingsville TX, younger brother Nolan Evetts of Grapeland TX, and younger sister Delores Geiger of Cibolo TX. A Memorial Service will be held at Tres Hewell Funeral Home located at 165 Tor Drive, Seguin TX 78155 Friday December 21, 2012, at 2:00 PM, followed by a short grave side service at the Kingsbury Cemetery. Friends and Family are invited to "Celebrate Chunks Life" following the grave side service. Location of the reception will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made in "Chunk's" honor to the charity of one's choice.
