CPT Floyd Andrew "Brownie" Brownfield, (USA Ret.), age 80 of Seguin, passed away on November 11, 2018. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Carl McCauley officiating. "Brownie" was born on June 26, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Earl Foster and Margaret B. (Humphreys) Brownfield. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, then in the United States Army from which he retired. He was stationed all over the world, including three tours in Vietnam, and was on duty as a guard in Berlin the day the Berlin Wall was erected. "Brownie" was preceded in death by his parents, his great-granddaughter, Salem Violet Haze Stewart and step-son, Justin Stickel. Survivors include his daughters, Leslie Nelson and husband Lance Nelson, and Veleda Harley and husband Richard Harley; son, Robert M. Brownfield and wife Ree Mawande Brownfield; grandchildren, Aimee, Alisha, Kristin, Stephanie, Samantha, Kasey, Petra, Kendan, Bryan, Joel, Heaven and Amber; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Earl F. Brownfield, Jr. and wife Carolyn; nieces, Mary Margaret and Bobbi Jo; nephew, Steve; numerous other loving family members and friends.
