C. W. "Boots" Vincent, Jr., age 78 of Seguin, passed away on December 20, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Boots was born in Houston, Texas to C. W., Sr. and Rosa May Gears Vincent. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from SMI. Boots was an avid outdoorsman and after retirement he enjoyed volunteering as a park host. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy, his sons, Jerry Vincent and John Vincent, his grandson Matthew Vincent, his parents, and his sister, Barbara Manning. Survivors include his children, Ronnie Stuart, Marcy Ruby and husband Ronnie, Gina Burns and husband David, and Alice Truelock and husband Shannon; daughter-in-law, Debbie Vincent; brother, David Vincent and wife Ruth; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
