Dale Robert Warus, age 48, of McQueeney, passed away on November 1, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Chaplain Oscar Benavides officiating. A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall in Seguin. On Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 5 p.m. a memorial service will be held in honor of Dale, conducted by the Sons of the American Legion at the Walton F. Hoffman Memorial Post 179 in New Braunfels, 410 W. Coll St. in New Braunfels. Dale was born on January 31, 1967 in El Paso, Texas to John and Marie (Jacobs) Warus. A son of an Army Sargent First Class, Dale grew up in military fashion, moving where his father was needed, eventually settling in McQueeney. Dale attended Southwest Texas and the University of Texas, majoring in his passion, computer science. Dale was known to many as a computer genius, building and fixing computers, often times for free, because he loved it so much. He donated as many computers as he was able to veterans in the area. Dale is preceded in death by his father, Sfc. John Warus, and grandmother Anna Warus. He is survived by his mother Marie Warus, and brother, Johnnie Warus, as well as many friends.
