Daniel Robert "Dan" Modl, age 64 of Kingsbury, passed away on January 4, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Seguin at 10 a.m. with The Reverend Kevin Dellaria officiating. A reception will follow in McKeogh Hall. Private interment will be held at a later date. Dan was born on July 28, 1950 in Eau Claire Wisconsin to Robert Eugene and Elaine Dolores (Peterson) Modl. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son and brother. He is preceded in death by his father, and his grandson, Kelly Thomas Modl. Survivors include his son, Kelly Modl and wife Holly; daughter, Shona Marie Smith and husband Robert; mother, Elaine Modl; sisters, Carol Modl and husband Jack Wing, Theresa Modl, and Kathy Modl and partner Joni Brown; brother, John Modl; grandchildren, Lauren Muenchow, Lindsey Muenchow, Leslie Muenchow, Candall Kelly West, Stephanie Danielle West and Cera Christina Marie Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
