Daniel W. Klinger, of Seguin, passed away on May 2, 2018. Daniel was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Charles Wesley Klinger, Sr. and Elsie Marie (Maritz) Klinger. He was a graduate of Warren Township High School and graduated Middlesex County College with an Associates Degree in accounting. He was employed by Purolator Products as their cost accountant and later worked for Goody Products in Kearny, NJ before moving to Georgia with Goody in 1991. After leaving Goody Products, he and his wife owned and operated Dollar Discount for five years before moving to Seguin, Texas in 2005. Dan served with the U.S. Army as a Sergeant of the 716
th
Batallion in Saigon/Cholon during the Vietnam War in 1965-1966. He was Honorably Discharged in 1967. Dan is survived by his wife, Carol. They just celebrated 50 years of marriage in October, 2017! Also, surviving is his son, Bobby and his wife, Michelle of Seguin, TX, his daughter, Dawn Rakita and her husband, John of Piscataway, NJ, his brother, Harry and his wife Vivian of Banner Elk, NC as well as his beloved niece, Kathy Benitez of FL. His five grandchildren, Zachery and Lexy Klinger and Stephanie, Alex and Brandon Rakita as well as one great grandson, Brayden Klinger, were the light of his life! His two four legged children (Maui and Lucky) will surely miss him and their treats! The services are private with a final salute at Ft. Sam Houston, at a later date.
