Danley E. Voss age 83 of Geronimo, passed away on September 24, 2016. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Friedens Church with Pastors Sonja and Dave Phillips officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post 245 in Seguin will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Danley was born on February 17, 1933 in Geronimo Texas to Werner Robert and Norma (Boenig) Voss. He was a graduate of Navarro High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong member of Friedens Church, a member of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post 245, the Geronimo Memorial VFW Post # 8456 and the Seguin Hermann Sons Lodge #37. He was an avid bowler and was a member of both the Barbarossa and Zorn Bowling Clubs. He also enjoyed playing card games and dominoes. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Lanier Voss and Edsel Voss, and his son-in-law, Jimmy McBride. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth "Bunny" Voss; children, Sally McBride and fiancé Gary Bennett, Jenny Voss, Cindy Voss and husband, Ted, and Daniel Voss and wife, Shirley Smith; grandchildren, Jacob Voss, Shannon McBride and wife Melissa, Brandon McBride and wife Yvette, Michele Boyd and husband Justin, Valerie Logsdon and husband Jeremy, Amy Earls, Ashley Voss, Garrett Voss, and Westin Voss; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Madalyn, Adilynn, Shannyn, Myranda, Marissa, Anthony, Daeshja, Aaliyah, Allyssa, Melody, Bailey, Hannah, and Noah; sisters-in-law, Nan Voss and Betty Revard; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon McBride, Brandon McBride, Garrett Voss, Westin Voss, Anthony Henley, John Voss, Ronnie Schriewer and Gaylon George.
