David Casas, age 47, passed away on August 21, 2013. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Friday, August 23, 2013 followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. for the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. David was born on February 16, 1966 in Nixon, Texas to Pete and Gloria Casas. Survivors include his son, Joe Ryan Casas; daughter, Crystal Casas; step-son, Jesse Ray Gomez, step-daughter, Christine Helfrich; parents, Pete and Gloria Casas; brothers, Lawrence Casas and wife Linda, Adam Casas and wife Tracy, Ricky Casas and partner Esther Salazar, and Rocky Casas and wife Leslie; sisters, Rachel Pineda and husband Robert and Teresa (Pinky) Raker and husband Tony; numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be David Franks, Travis Engelke, Ernest Hernandez, Roland Martinez, Chris Macias, Rick Longoria, Tony Martinez and Gilbert Grimm.
