David W. Holohan, age 76 of Seguin, passed away on April 5, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ. Interment with military honors will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery. David was born on January 9, 1938 in Moberly Missouri to Temple David and Catherine Patricia (Brennan) Holohan. He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Air Force. After retirement from the military he joined the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 20 years. He enjoyed 9 pin bowling and was a member of the Zorn Bowling Club where he enjoyed many friendships. He was a Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Volunteer where he worked in the maintenance department. He liked dancing to country music and loved a good chocolate milk shake with all the trimmings. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Cora Holohan; daughters, Carolyn Whitener and husband Bob, Terry Vasquez and husband Rey, Susan Faulknor and husband Raymond; sister, Donna Kay Moore; sister-in-law, Dolores Barnett; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. David loved spending time with family and friends. He was well respected by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
