David Allen Keyes, Sr., age 54 of Mc Queeney passed away on May 10, 2010. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. David was born in Harlingen, Texas on September 10, 1955. He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Navy. He was an electrician by trade and worked for Industrial Electric in Seguin and later for Goodrich Aerostructures in San Marcos. He is preceded in death by his son Shaun Keyes and sister, Belinda (Kay) Kluth. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Nimfa G. Keyes; daughter, Nichole A. Young and fiancé Pedro Hernandez; sons, David Allen Keyes, Jr. and wife Carol and Daniel Rene Keyes; granddaughters, Alexanndria Hernandez, Samantha Hernandez, Christian Hernandez and Addison Hernandez; sister, Nanette Outlaw and husband David; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley Casanova and husband Richard, Elida Tague and husband Jon, Patricia Luna and husband Andrew, Hope Rodriguez and husband David, Janie Partridge and husband Carl, Rosalinda Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales and wife Patsy, Rene Gonzales and wife Mia, Albert Gonzales and Michael Gonzales; numerous other loving family members. David loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them, especially his wife, children and granddaughters. Serving as pallbearers will be David Rodriguez, Joe Ryan Nieto, Billy Craft, Jaime De La Garza, David Grimsley and Richard Casanova. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
