Obituary

Debra "Debbie" Fritz Baker, age 62 of Kingsbury passed away on December 19, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Seguin with Rev. Andy Smith and Rev. Ron Welborn officiating. A reception will follow in the Christian Life Center. Private interment will be held at a later date. Debbie was born in Seguin Texas on July 23, 1952 to Atlee and Ruby Ida (Merz) Fritz. She was a 1970 graduate of Seguin High School. She taught History and Government at several schools in the Seguin Independent School District. Debbie enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting. She and Dennis traveled all over the United States in their RV, especially in the Western portion of the United States, often stopping at quilt shops and shows. She was a member of the New Braunfels Quilt Guild. Debbie loved spending time among family and friends, especially precious time with her four granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Dennis G. Baker; son, Russell W. Baker and wife Beth of Fulshear, Texas; daughter, Audrey A. Dwyer and husband Mike of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Brooke and Lauren Baker, Ruby-Jean and Johanna Dwyer; brother, Atlee Fritz (Linda); sisters, Janice Reaves(Alan), Denise Dominic(Paul), and Tina Preuss(Joey); numerous nieces and nephews, Staci Reaves, Stephanie Garza, Andrew Fritz, Angela Fritz, Lindsey Allen, Bobby Dominic, Danny Dominic, Joshua Preuss, Tabitha Schlachter, Amanda Sugg; great nieces and great nephews, Gabriela Garza, Marissa Garza, Landen Allen, Brinley Allen, Adellyn Preuss, Noah Preuss; numerous other loving family members including the Baker Family and many many loving friends. For those who were blessed with a quilt or crocheted item by Debbie, and are planning to attend the service, you are invited to bring that quilt or piece of crochet and hang on the back of the pew you are sitting in at First United Methodist Church during the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 710 N. Austin St., Seguin, Texas, 78155.
