Delton Gene Elley age 72 of Seguin, Texas passed away on October 16, 2023. He was born on June 3, 1951, to Clinton and Delores Reiner Elley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest sister Helen.

He was survived by his son Josh Elley, brothers, Clinton Sr. and wife Maggie, Jerome and wife Sandy, Roger, and sister Diana Vecera. There are numerous nieces and nephews.

His niece April Vecera has been a huge help to him in the last few years at GVNC. A special thank you to all who have been his caregivers at GVNC.

Delton had a sense of humor which would often get him in trouble. He loved to tell stories about things he did when he was younger. The residents at the nursing home were always laughing with him.

Delton attended Navarro School. He started working for SMI and then went to work for Horowitz Salvage.

His most cherished moments were with his son. He was especially happy to go out to eat wherever. He was always hungry for a Whataburger and soda water.

Memorials may be given to the Humane Society or a charity of choice.

There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
