Demetrio Castro, Jr., age 54 of Seguin, passed away on August 21, 2008. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Demetrio was born on April 9, 1954 in Seguin, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army. His wife, Maria Alicia Castro and father, Demetrio Castro, Sr. precede him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Sonia Castro; son, Demetrio Castro, III and wife Angela; grandchildren, Lance and Kristin DeLeon and Kayla, Nathaniel, and Loriah Castro; mother, Anita Rodriquez and husband, Jesus; brothers, Manuel Vielma and wife, Laura, Ernesto Castro and wife, Sandra, and Arturo Castro; sisters, Guadalupe Hernandez and husband, Julio, Rose Mary Castro, Norma Vielma, Irma Medina and husband, David, Teresa Hernandez and husband, Sam; step-mother, Armandina Castro; numerous other family members.
