IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis Joseph
Bousson
May 2, 1945 – October 21, 2024
Dennis J. Bousson, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 79 in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. Born on May 2, 1945, in Lake Forest, Illinois, to Joseph and Sylvia Bousson. Dennis, affectionately known as Denny, was a man whose life was marked by his deep love for his family, his passion for his work, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures.
A proud Electrician throughout his career, Denny started his career as a member of IBEW Local 150 in Illinois before working in Texas. He received a quality education, beginning at St. Joseph Catholic School, continuing at Libertyville High School, and culminating in his apprenticeship with IBEW Local 150. Denny's work ethic and camaraderie with his colleagues were an integral part of his identity.
Denny's love for life was infectious. A true fan at heart, he cheered enthusiastically for NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. In his younger days, one could find Denny enjoying a cold beer at The Tap N Tote in Libertyville or The Oak in Seguin. He enjoyed two-stepping at a dance hall with his beloved Claudia. His love for music, especially "The Twist" by Chubby Checker and country two-step tunes, could get him on his feet and dancing. He also found solace and community at the Living Waters Worship Center in Seguin, where he served as an usher and enjoyed the fellowship of the congregation.
Denny's zest for life extended to his love of storytelling and laughter. A conversation with him was never dull, and his friendly, loving nature made him a kindred spirit to many. His love for cookies was legendary; he could polish off a plateful in one sitting, much to the delight and amusement of his family, who will deeply miss his presence and the warmth he brought into their lives.
Family was the cornerstone of Denny's world. He shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings—Janice, Ronnie, and Joe. Joe and his wife, Vicki, were especially close to Denny, supporting him through life's challenges and cherishing the time they spent together during his last year in Illinois. His friendships reached far and wide, from Bobby Barrett and Jack Shaer in Illinois to friends and neighbors including Robert and Joy Steffens of Seguin, not to mention the group at the Whataburger in Seguin, where he relished good conversation and company.
Denny is survived by his loving family: his brother Joe (Vicki) Bousson; brother-in-law Eugene May; sister-in-law Marge Bousson; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Denny. He leaves behind a legacy of love, including his daughter-in-law, Sheila Bousson; grandsons Correy Bousson, Tim (Machiah) Bousson; and great-grandson Theo. Denny was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Robert Bousson, life partner/wife Claudia Shaw, sister Janice May, brother Ronnie Bousson and his parents Joe and Sylvia Bousson.
Dennis J. Bousson lived a life filled with kindness, friendship, and love. He will not be forgotten and will truly be missed.
