Dianna Brook Bertling Brown, age 45 of Kingsbury, passed away on August 26, 2019. Brook was born on November 10, 1973 in Seguin, Texas to Roy and Anna Ruth (Boland) Bertling. She was born in the same hospital, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, that she worked in for 27 years, for most of the last decade as the Director of Cardio Pulmonary and Wound Care. At GRMC, she touched 1000's of lives professionally and personally. She graduated from Seguin High School in 1992. She received her Associates in Applied Science with a specialty in Respiratory Therapy from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) in 1995. She recently was granted her Bachelor's of Science in Respiratory Care in 2018 from Midwestern University. At work, at home, in the grocery store….She always incorporated her faith into every interaction she had. Everyone who knew her knew she was devoted to her family and was a strong servant of Christ. Brook is preceded in death by her parents and her niece Bethany Bertling. Survivors include her loving husband of 13 years, Cary Brown; children, Addie, Claire and Wyatt Brown; step-son, Christopher Brown; brothers, Curtis and wife Sheryn, Craig, Blake and wife Jennifer, and Brent and wife Crystal Bertling; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, as well as many friends who are all like family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Seguin with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville and Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Kingsbury Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be close family friends, Travis Emmons, Matt Nolte, Steve Ratliff, Andrew Pastrano, Doug Wessels and Rob Patterson. In lieu of flowers, take your wife or loved ones out to dinner, donate to a cancer research group of your choice or make a donation to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Hospice Services, 1215 E. Court St., Seguin, Texas, 78155. Romans 8:28 – "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose."
