Donna Jeanne Kidd, age 92 of Seguin, formerly of McAllen, Texas, passed peacefully in her home on August 1, 2024.  She was born in San Benito, Texas, the daughter of Delsie Jeanette (Taber) and Donald Wayne Mounts.

Donna graduated from Harlingen High School in 1950 and on January 1, 1954, she married Joe Pullen Kidd.

Donna was a woman of grace and poise.  She was a retired secretary, a talented seamstress, a remarkable bridge player, and an eager reader, but nothing made her happier than to have her family gathered around her dining table sharing stories of their daily lives.  She is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed.

Donna was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, and a proven descendant of a Mayflower passenger.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Delsie and Don Mounts, and her two sisters, Dorothy Jane Carver Stanfield and Doris Carol Curran.

Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Joe; her daughter Donna Jo Myers and husband Steven; her son Anthony Wayne "Tony" Kidd and wife Maripat; and her grandchildren Billy Dee Kidd and Emily Grace Kidd; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating Donna's life will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Tom Jones officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date.
