Don Ellis May, 52, of Seguin, died January 13, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Donnie was born January 14, 1964 in Pasadena, TX to John Ellis and Mamie (McCandless) May. Donnie grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Judson High School in 1982. After graduation, Donnie worked as an auto body painter and loved to do custom paint jobs. He eventually moved into the recreation business and was parts manager for Travis Boating for the last several years. Donnie was a wonderful, caring, and honest man; he was always willing to help anyone in need. Donnie loved to hunt and fish, but his greatest joy were children and grandchildren, who will miss him very much. Donnie is preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Ronnie May. He is survived by his children, Don (DJ) Ellis May, Jr., and wife, Kiah, Ashley May and husband, Jerry Ferrell, and Kourtney May; grandchildren, Breanna Turner, Kaitlyn May, and Baby May, due in June; his mother, Mamie May; brother, John Patrick May; sister Annette Jack, and husband Allen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
