Donnie Susann (Duncombe) Sharp
November 24, 1952 – February 19, 2025

Donnie Susann (Duncombe) Sharp, age 72, passed away on February 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on November 24, 1952, and was preceded in death by her parents, Donald William Duncombe and Ymana (Joseph) Duncombe; brothers Leroy Duncombe and William Duncombe; and sister Ymana (Duncombe) Johnson.

Donnie is survived by her beloved daughter, Susann Whitecotton, and her cherished grandchildren, Axton (Kayla Turner), Seth (partner Jackson Silvey), and Moira. She is also survived by her sisters, Raydeen Jaques and Cerya Jaques, her brothers, Earl Duncombe and Michael Duncombe, her "bonus grandkids" as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A woman of many talents, Donnie was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, spinner, and paper crafter. Her love for handcrafts was matched only by her generous spirit—she shared her creations freely with others, whether through teaching or gifting handmade items. Donnie found joy in learning new crafts and was always eager to embrace new challenges.

Throughout many physical challenges, Donnie always managed to care for her family by working a variety of jobs over the course of her adult life, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to providing for those she loved.

Donnie's greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Moira, for whom she was a devoted primary caregiver. She had a deep love for nature and animals, often enjoying trips to such places as zoos, sanctuaries and botanical gardens. She was also a dedicated Girl Scout leader for several years, imparting her love for nature and service to the next generation.

Her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
