Obituary
Donny Wilson, age 62 of Seguin, passed away on March 14, 2017.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 5 p.m. Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek and Rev. Gregory J. Nevlud officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. Donny was born on August 7, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to Dr. Donald and Betty Jean (Duran) Wilson.
Donny lived in Carrizo Springs until the third grade when the family moved to Seguin. He attended St. James Catholic School and, later Seguin High School where he graduated in 1972. Donny was given the choice of a European trip or a motorcycle as a graduation present; he chose the motorcycle, beginning his lifelong love of bikes. Donny spent most of his adult life in Dallas working as first, a paramedic, and later as an ER Nurse at Medical City Hospital for 22 years where he taught CPR, and was the unofficial tech repairman for the department. When Donny wasn't working, he loved to travel the back roads on his bike, especially in his favorite place, Colorado. He had recently moved back to his hometown of Seguin. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Donald Wilson, MD. Donny is survived by his mother, Betty Owings; sister, Sandra Wilson Licht, and husband Mark; brother, John Wilson, and wife Denise; step-daughter, Valerie Sample; nephews, Matthew and Scott Wilson.
