Doris Ann Henk Roessing, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on November 26, 2024.  Doris was born on July 27, 1935 in Comal County, Texas to Lillie (Bender) and Albert Henk and grew up in Zorn, Texas on the Henk Family Farm.

She was a member of the Seguin High School Class of 1953 and always enjoyed lunches throughout the years with her classmates.  Doris was proud to have served her community working at Seguin State Bank for 48 years, beginning her career soon after she graduated from high school.  As a member of St. James Catholic Church, she served many years on the Church Financial committee for Tithing.

While raising her two sons, her pride and joy, she invested a lot of time as a Little League Mom, Boy Scout Mom, and simply making her boys behave!

Bowling at Zorn, bunco with friends and listening to Polka music by Mollie B. were some of her favorite pastimes.  Her most precious times were spent with family, especially attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities.

Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hilbert "Middy" Roessing, son, Scott Roessing and brother Floyd Henk and brother-in-law Norvin Roessing.

Survivors include son, Ross Roessing and wife, Kim; daughter-in-law, Darla Roessing; granddaughters, Jessica Roessing Westerholm and husband Brandon, and McKenna Roessing; great-grandchildren, Boone and Ava-Jane Westerholm; sister, Joyce Voss and husband Clarence; brother, Harold Henk and wife Barbara;  sisters-in-law, Joann Henk, Deloris Atzger and husband Jesse, and Margot Roessing; many other loving family members and a host of friends.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m.  at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 followed by visitation at 9 a.m. and funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Jim Price officiating.  Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery.

Please note the rosary will be recited before the visitation begins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott MyCue, Jay Voss, Ryan MyCue, Curt Shane, Brandon Westerholm, and Craig Gabriel.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Bo Henk, Robert Henk and Russell Henk.
