Dorothy "Dot" Downey passed away December 1, 2020 in New Braunfels where she had resided for a number of years. Dot was born on July 4, 1926 in Dr Elder's hospital in Nixon, Texas to Barney and Olga Davis. She grew up and attended school in Stockdale, Texas.  She married Sterling Downey from Smiley Texas in November of 1948.  They had two sons, Robert and Brent.

Dot is survived by her sons and their families.  She is preceded in death by her husband Sterling, her parents and sister Bobbie Howard.

Private interment will be held at a later date in the Stockdale Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Dot's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
