Dorothy Lee (Coy) Hermes born April 1, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to Dwight and Dorothy Coy. She ran into the arms of Jesus on July 28, 2025 at the age of 82 and is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Larry Hermes.

She is survived by her children Scott Hermes and wife Allison, Sheryn Bertling and her husband Curtis. Her grandchildren Curtis J Bertling and wife Lana, Maycie (Bertling) Clary and husband Christopher, Garrett J Hermes and wife Kayla, and Emmett Hermes. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was a dedicated and faithful wife, mother, and Nanny. She was the heart of her family, living her life showing each one of them how very special and loved they are. There was never a day that "I love you" wasn't said. Her wit and wisdom were always a joy and comfort to all who knew her.

She was an avid reader and crocheter and gifted so many with her works of art. Above all of this she was a Christian and loved the Lord and is now rejoicing with Him and all of her family that preceded her in death. We are comforted in knowing that there was a beautiful reunion when her eyes opened in Heaven.

The family would like to send our deepest and heartfelt love and thanks to the nurses, doctors, and therapists at Mission Trail Baptist Hospital who became part of our family and had such amazing compassion and care for Dorothy. You will all remain in our prayers.

She was a very simple woman and upon her request, after cremation, there will be a graveside service in The Kingsbury Cemetery to bury her and her husband's ashes.
