Dorothy Jean Bulgerin Jeffers, age 89, a lifetime resident of Seguin, was called home on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Dorothy was born on June 6, 1934 to Louie Opal (Lambert) and Theodore Reinhard Bulgerin.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Joe Columbus (J. C.) Jeffers, her parents, her brothers, Teddy Bulgerin and Bobby Bulgerin and wife Geri, and brothers-in-law, Mark Jeffers and Jimmy Jeffers and sister-in-law, Louise Gurnett.

Survivors include her son, B. J. Jeffers and wife Denise; grandson, Chad Jeffers and wife Kylee; great-grandson, Grayson Jeffers; brothers, Jimmy Bulgerin and wife Helen and Roy Bulgerin and wife Peggy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

Family and friends were most important to Dorothy Jean.  She retired at age 49 after 31 ½ years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.  She so enjoyed talking on the phone, yet she never ever owned a cell phone.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 9 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Interment will follow at Dugger Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Miller, Jimmy Kennedy, Manuel Ramos, Larry McKee, Chase Ramos, and Roger Voss.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Jeffers, Grayson Jeffers, and Bert Hinson.
