Dorothy Darlene Moore went home to our heavenly Father early morning of January 10, 2022, surrounded by family in Seguin, TX.

She is survived by twin daughters Cathie Wennersten (Kit) Marysville, Washington, Connie Helms (Richard) Seguin, Texas, and son Kim Moore (Carol) Sunset, Texas. Brother Terry (Elaine) Scholes Naples, Florida. 10 grandchildren Sarah & Levi Wennersten, Jason, Jerrod & James Helms, Juniper & Aaron Moore, Justin Moore, Jennifer Steele, and Sarah Doria. 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Gary, 2007, and son G.Vee 2006.

Darlene was born in Worland, Wyoming, March 11, 1933. While growing up with 3 brothers and one sister, she delivered newspapers with her brothers, babysat children and worked at the local movie theater where she met her husband, Gary. While at the theater, for her lunch or supper breaks, she would walk across the street to buy spaghetti for .35 a plate or a .25 cent hamburger. She lived out in the country and would walk to church for both the morning and evening services.

Gary and Darlene married on July 31, 1950. Life's work in the oil industry allowed them to live in many interesting places, several states including Alaska and the island of Singapore. She enjoyed fishing in Alaska and on one occasion she caught the biggest Halibut on the boat. Retirement in 1992 brought them to San Angelo, Texas. Darlene touched countless lives through 25 plus years of teaching Community Bible Study to women and children from every walk of life. Anyone who knew Darlene, knew that Jesus was her best friend and her relationship with God was a very special one. The word 'Joy' best describes Darlene. Her contagious personality and love for life would rub off on anyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
