Dorothy Lea Taylor, age 87 of Seguin, went to be with the Lord, on July 12, 2013. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Church (www.hillcrestag.org) with Rev. Mike Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in the Staples Cemetery. Dorothy Lea was born on March 16, 1926 in Staples Texas to John Matthew and Susan Ella Scrutchin Vinyard. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, L. H. (Lefty) Taylor, her parents, her brothers and spouses: William Alexander "Lex" Vinyard (Cleo), Russell Vinyard (Jo Nickle), Victor Vinyard (Margaret), Chester Vinyard (Cleda), and sister, Lucille Vinyard Turner (Mac). Survivors include her children, Michael J. Reed (Janice), Melody Miller (Ken), John F. Taylor (Karen), Jean Jacobs, Robert H. Taylor, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Jonathan Miller, Randy Nicodemus, Willie Fitzgerald, and Bob Seeger. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Church, P.O.
