Duffie Thomas Taylor, Jr., age 81 of New Braunfels, formerly of Seguin, passed away on April 27, 2014. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating and military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H U Wood Post 245. Private interment will be held at a later date. Duffie was born in Florence, South Carolina on March 11, 1933 to Duffie, Sr. and Elizabeth (Siau) Taylor. He graduated from Clemson University on August 13, 1955 with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Duffie will be remembered as the Plant Manager at the Hexcel Corporation in Seguin. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Seguin, the Seguin Noon Rotary Club and enjoyed time with the Coffee Club at the Donut Palace. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include Louise M. Taylor; children, Beth Lovell and husband George, Tom Taylor and wife Nancy and Bobby Taylor and wife Sass Allen; grandchildren, Lauren, Carol, Christina, Meghan, Erin, Cash and Mas; numerous other loving family members and friends.
