E. Albert Glenewinkel, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on January 24, 2018. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Gary Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Albert was born on June 6, 1935 in Guadalupe County Texas to Edgar Albert August Glenewinkel and Bessie (Hoffmann) Buss. Albert will be remembered as a fireman for the City of Seguin for 22 years and was a member of Hillcrest Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Norman, Delton and Frank Glenewinkel. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Irwin Glenewinkel; his sons, Edgar Albert Glenewinkel, Jr. and wife Sharon, James Edward Glenewinkel and his wife Deborah, David Alan Glenewinkel and his wife Lisa, and John Michael Glenewinkel; grandchildren, Lenea Larralde and husband Jesse, Henry Krueger, Allen Glenewinkel and wife Stephanie, Cody Glenewinkel and wife Amy, and David Glenewinkel, II; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Arlen Glenewinkel and wife LaVerne, Bess Emily Reneau, Bobby Glenewinkel and wife Cherlyn, and Danny Glenewinkel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
