Earlene Siltmann, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on November 30, 2018. A memorial service celebrating Earlene's life will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Marcus Bigott officiating. Earlene was born on September 29, 1936 in Lampasas County, TX to Earl and Laverne (Cox) McLean. Earlene is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Shimek and husband Harold; grandson, Shawn Shimek and wife Isa; granddaughter, Aimee Shimek; great-granddaughters, Megan Bateman and husband Josh, and Marissa Shimek; and great-great-granddaughter, Rilynn Bateman; siblings, Richard McLean and wife Meredith, David McLean and wife Sherry; Patricia Zunker and husband Gene; Ryan McLean and wife Michelle, Myron and Cheryl McLean; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends. Earlene was a devoted mother and "Nana". She so enjoyed taking her grandchildren, and nieces and nephews on many adventures. She was also a woman with many talents. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, was involved in various organizations and was a true artist, creating many beautiful paintings. Earlene was a Seguin high school graduate Class of 1954, where she was a friend to many, keeping in touch with her high school friends throughout her life. We will always remember her smile, kind heart, and her love for games and adventures with her family.
