Edith Mabel Blankenship, age 97 of Seguin, passed away on January 20, 2019. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Dollene (Sissy) Lakey officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Edith was born on April 1, 1921 in Poteet, Texas to Jesse and Dolle (Almeda) Pratt. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Troy Blankenship, her parents, her brothers, Joe Pratt and wife Annette, and Winston Pratt and wife Agnes, sisters, Geraldine Henneke and husband Edward and Nell Conner and husband Tom and brother-in-law, Hal Webb. Survivors include her children, Donald Blankenship and wife Juanita, Curtis Blankenship, Larry Blankenship, Sr. and wife Donna, Lavern Box and husband Jim, and Jerry Blankenship and wife Betty; sister, Joyce Webb; brother-in-law, Lytle Blankenship and wife Margaret; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Blankenship, Larry Blankenship, Curtis Blankenship, Jerry Blankenship, Russell Schriewer and Miles Engelke.
