Edith Carroll Passmore Buesing, age 74 of Seguin passed away on February 10, 2019. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Bundick Cemetery in Smiley, Texas with Rev. Gary Irwin officiating. Carroll was born on September 15, 1944 in Nixon Texas to Jesse R. and Viola (Thurk) Passmore. Carroll grew up in Smiley, Texas and graduated from Smiley High School Class of 1962. She will be remembered as long time employee at Mesquite Junction/ Smithey's Country Store on S. Hwy. 123 south of Seguin, where she made many friends. Carroll enjoyed casino trips, and anything Elvis was her favorite, including a trip to Graceland. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald W. Janssen. Survivors include her husband, James Buesing; sons, Darryl Smithey and wife Stacey and Matthew Smithey and wife Edie; grandchildren, Hailey, Casey, Tyler and Kelli Smithey; several cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
