Edna Godsey Haynes, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on December 26, 2009. Visitation will begin at Tres Hewell Mortuary, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 9 am followed by a service in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Tippit officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in Wilson Valley Cemetery near Little River, Texas at 3 p.m. Edna was born on August 24, 1920 in Little River, Texas to Cephas and Evie Johnson Godsey. Her husband, Wayne Haynes, sons, James Tippit and Dennis Tippit, grandsons, Keith Young and Jay Hawes, parents and four siblings preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Kim Haynes and wife Patti; daughters, Joyce Young and husband Edward, and Melanie Johnson; daughters-in-law, Barbara Yelverton and husband John, and Phyllis Tippit; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
