Edna May Jeanette (Woodruff) Hamilton (known as Jeanette to most of her family and friends), age 97 of Seguin, passed away peacefully in her home on February 16, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1927 in Lolita, Texas to Arthur Phillip and Annie Vera (Heaton) Woodruff.

She married John Leldon Hamilton on March 17, 1945. From this union were born four sons and from those four sons were born eleven grand-children and thirty-three great grand-children. Jeanette was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and went to great lengths to see that they were well cared for. She was also strong in her faith in the LORD Jesus Christ, and she worked in numerous ministries during the course of her life. She particularly loved working with the children in Vacation Bible Schools.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Leldon Hamilton, son, John Phillip Hamilton, great-grandson, Derek Alexander Rosas, siblings Hilda Lee (Woodruff) McFeron, Lou Ellen (Woodruff) Argo, Arlene (Woodruff) Klaus, Arthur Phillip Woodruff, Jr., and Tracy Maurice Woodruff.

Survivors include her children, Donald Ray Hamilton, Sr. and wife Joyce, William Leldon Hamilton and wife Jackie and Joseph Dean Hamilton and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Ashley Rene Hall (John),  Amy Michelle Hamilton (Jason), Donald Ray Hamilton, Jr. (Lynn), John Patrick Hamilton (Kayla), Justin Phillip Hamilton (Anne Marie), Michael Leldon Hamilton (Dalynn), William Hadden Hamilton (Brooke), Ashley Nicole Kisselburgh, Lisa Michelle Meek (Richard), Crystal Michelle Reigle and Carla Michele Woodyard; 33 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary, 165 Tor Drive, Seguin, Texas on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 8251 FM 1117, Seguin, Texas.  Serving as pallbearers will be, Justin Hamilton, William Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Patrick Hamilton, Mike Woodruff. Honorary pallbearers will be, Wayne Argo, Dwayne Klaus, Joe Sulak.
