Eduardo Garza, age 77, passed away on May 6, 2009. Visitation will begin, Friday May 8, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with a rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Eduardo was born on December 24, 1931 in Los Saenz, Texas to Leocadio and Petra Garza. Eduardo will be remembered as a longtime resident of La Villa, Texas where he raised his family and worked for the La Villa Independent School District and the City of La Villa. His parents precede him in death as do his sons, Jesus, Ricky and Tony, his son-in-law, Frank Wilt and his brother Everardo Garza. Survivors include his wife, Juana Garza; children, Margarita Garza, Isaac Garza and wife, Christina, Gerardo Garza, Maria de los Angeles Garza, Virginia Garza, Eva Garza, Irma Bannister and husband, Lee, Eduardo Adan Garza and Hilda Wilt; siblings, Heberto Garza and wife, Fidela, Candelario Garza, Elma Palomarez and husband, Candido; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons.
