Edward R. Lenz, age 88 of McQueeney, passed away on September 4, 2018. He was born on August 9, 1930 in LaVernia, Texas to Ewald H. and Alvina (Schroeder) Lenz. Edward worked for Alamo Iron Works in San Antonio, Texas for 49 years and retired as Senior Vice President of the company. He loved his time at the Lake, spending time with family and friends and his beloved dog Lenzy. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include his loving wife, Terry Lenz; son, Michael Lenz and Susanna Bauman; daughter, Kathy Byers and husband David; nephews, Tim, Ken and James; dear friends, Spike and Brenda Lowe, and Shelli Shannon; beloved caretaker, Elizabeth Serrano; numerous other loving family and friends. A gathering celebrating Edward's life will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm at the Lake Breeze Ski Lodge, 225 Ski Lodge Road, McQueeney, Texas, 78123. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
