Edward "Eddie" Woehler, Sr. age 74 of Seguin, passed away on January 28, 2011. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A private graveside service will be held. A public memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Purdy officiating. A reception will follow in the Christian Life Center. Mr. Woehler was born June 13, 1936 in Seguin to Edward Frederick and Edna Krueger Woehler. He graduated from Seguin High School in 1954. He was proud to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. He retired from Southwestern Bell and owned Seguin Sandblasting and Woehler Storage. He enjoyed 9 pin bowling, traveling with friends, and farming. He loved restoring old cars. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Lydia H. Woehler; daughter, Tami Malatek and husband Dennis; son, Edward Woehler, Jr. and friend Kelley Chamberlain; grandchildren, Andrea and Michael Woehler and Amanda Malatek; great grandson, Tristan; sisters, Arline Eberhard and husband Herbert, Vernelle Palmour and husband Raymond and Shirley Hester and husband Doug and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
