Obituary

Elaine D. Stauber, age 79 of Seguin, passed away Sunday Morning, June 9, 2013 while under the care of hospice. A memorial mass of Christian burial celebrating Elaine's life will be held on Monday June 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Gregory J. Nevlud officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date in East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center, Wisconsin. Elaine was born on May 3, 1934 in Chicago Illinois to Harold J. and Margaret Kirchner Barker. She was married on July 5, 1957 to her husband Carl. They were together for almost 56 wonderful years. Elaine was a graduate of the University of Nebraska. She was a talented harp player and performed with the University of Nebraska Symphony, Omaha Symphony and the University of Maryland Symphony. Elaine was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Alpha Phi Sorority. She also held a hamm radio ticket (KC5GZF). She is survived by her husband Carl and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S. Camp, Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, Texas, 78155-1593.
