Elinor "Babe" Kunz, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on July 2, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo with Rev. Mike Rodriguez officiating. Babe was born in Guadalupe County on May 16, 1919 to Walter and Estella Soefje Grimm. In her early years Babe will be remembered working with her sister as a waitress and cook at the Panama Café in Seguin. In later years she enjoyed ranching, especially caring for her cattle. Babe was a member of the American Legion H U Wood Auxiliary Unit 245. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Nelton Scheel and David Kunz, her parents, her sister, Evelyn Stackhouse and her nephew, Wayne Stackhouse. Survivors include her niece, Beverly Scheel and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Terry Scheel, Edward Woehler, Jr., Rick May, Buddy Reneau, Marvin Linnartz, Robert Buffington, Curtis Wilson, Clarence Sahm, Gerald Rennspies and Wilford Bartoskewitz. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
