Elizabeth Brown, age 97 of Seguin, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2011. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 10 to 5 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Rosary will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Elizabeth was born on July 15, 1914 in Guadalupe County to August and Augusta Roemisch. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Wilburn Brown, her parents and one brother and two sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Gladys Dotson and husband Buddy; Mary Ann Schwerdtfeger and husband Donald Gene; sons, Wilburn Brown and wife Judy, and Joseph (Butch) Brown and wife Alice; twelve grandchildren; twenty –two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; Serving as pallbearers will be Greg, Kevin and Eric Schwerdtfeger, David Boos, Scott Brown and Ronnie Dill. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
