Elizabeth Buerger Jackson, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on December 29, 2010. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 12 noon to 5 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 3 to 5p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Robert Grafe officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Elizabeth was born on July 8, 1919 in Poth, Texas to Harry Ben August and Lima Mae Allen Buerger. She was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary H. U. Wood Unit 245. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Emmy Buerger, parents, daughter, Ida Mae Jackson, husband Ernest Jackson and sister and brother-in-law, Adeline and Soddie Burkett. Survivors include her son, Robert Jackson and wife Cathy; daughter, Ernestine Sykes and husband Sonny; grandchildren, Susan Seaton and husband Mark, Joanne Jackson, Charlie Jackson, Lynette Berman and husband Dale, Michael Lyons and wife Shannon, Brian Lyons and wife Joanna; 12 beautiful great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Maese and husband Peter; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Jackson, Michael and Bryan Lyons, Dale Berman, Mark Seaton, Oscar Zimmerman and Kenneth "Tiny" Mondin.
