Ella Hoffmann Jahns, age 101 of Seguin, passed away on June 8, 2017. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Ella was born on May 2, 1916 in Guadalupe County to Edwin and Lena Hensel Hoffmann. She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Jahns, her parents, brothers, Alvin Hoffmann, Emil Hoffmann, Adolph Hoffmann and George Hoffmann. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Weidner and husband Walter; grandchildren, Deborah Oates, Connie Green and husband Brian, Russell Schultze and wife Terri, Scott Schultze and wife Julie, Walter Weidner and wife Eileen, Sharilyn Kelley, Jonathan Weidner, and Eric Weidner; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Annie Hoffmann and Hannalore Hoffmann; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Schultze, Scott Schultze, Bradley Klein, Jonathan Weidner, Walter Weidner and Gregory Offer. The family would like to thank Diana Kotara and Lucy Luna for their loving care of Ella and they would also like to thank Guadalupe Regional Hospice for their attentive care.
