Elroy W. Schulze, age 80 of Seguin, passed away on April 1, 2010. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at Elm Creek with Pastor Anne Kolmeier officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Lutheran Cemetery at Elm Creek. Elroy was born on May 12, 1929 in Guadalupe County to Eugene Fritz and Ella Zwicke Schulze. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Terry Lynn Schulze, parents-in-law Cecil and Anna Baker, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin Stautzenberger, and Joe and Linda Baker. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Kathryn Schulze; son, Cecil Schulze and wife Syndra; daughter, Becky Baker and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Randall and Ryan, Baker, and Christina, Sterling and Patrick Schulze; sisters, Laura Mae Gerdes and husband George, and Evelyn Norman and husband Bert; brother, Arnold Schulze and wife Verlyn; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Vernon and Betty Reiley, Wallace and Joyce Real and Raynelle Stautzenberger; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Baker, Michael Gerdes, Tom Earl Gibbons, Tommy Kosub, Pat Lloyd, Dale Reiley, Jimmy Reiley, Tim Reiley, D. L. Schraub, and Wayne Zwicke.
