Elvira "Evie" Traeger, 97, passed away on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 12p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bill Knobles and Rev. Andy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Evie was born on May 30, 1919 to William and Emilie (Schmidt) Von Minden. She married Willeford "Willa" Traeger on January 11, 1942 and lived in Seguin with him until his death in 2003. Evie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Willa; son, Ford Traeger; her parents; brothers Werner Von Minden and Clinton Von Minden. Survivors include her children, Sherry Isbell and husband Bill, Scott "Skip" Traeger and wife Jackie; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Anthonette Hyman; as well many nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Evie will be remembered for the way she lived her life in grace and beauty for her family and her Lord. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 610 N.
