Obituary

Elvyn Ray McCulloch, age 70 of Seguin, passed away on March 15, 2016. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lifegate Church with Rev. Robert K. Odom and Rev. Johnny Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the McCulloch Family Cemetery. Ray was born on November 7, 1945 in Seguin, Texas to Henry, Sr. and Maudie (Chessher) McCulloch. He was a 1964 graduate of Seguin High School. He honorably served in the Army National Guard of Texas. Ray will be remembered as a business owner, involved in Heavy Equipment Operations and Ranching. For several years he was involved with the Gideons and local 4-H clubs. Ray enjoyed deer hunting including hunting trips with friends and family to Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harvey Joe McCulloch. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Gail McCulloch; daughters, Shelley Whitehair and husband Russell, Charlene Stout and husband John, Darla Harding and husband Tony, Ashlea Page and husband Nathan, and Sarah Reneau; sons, David McCulloch, Jacob Reneau and Jonathan Reneau; grandchildren, Lauryn Stout, Kiley Menchaca, Joseph Menchaca, Grace Stout, Miles Stout, Tony Ray Harding III, Raelynne Whitehair, Troy Stout, Addison Page, Elizabeth Stout, Ava Harding and McKenzie Page; brother, Henry McCulloch, Jr. and wife Barbara; brother-in-law, Michael Dikes and wife Mary Ellen; sisters-in-law, Nancy Wilkerson and husband John, Linda Rankin and husband Gary, and Pat Reneau; aunt, Myrtle McCulloch; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Bermea, Mike Geer, Ken Castle, Quintin Holtz, Patrick Mackle, and Travis Peeples. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Bermea, Paul Bedner, and Walter Engelmann. Ray loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved his family and friends. He will be missed.
