Emery Skye Garcia, 8 days old, gained her angel wings on July 28, 2019. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Emery was born on July 20, 2019 in Austin Texas to Desiree Guardiola and Nelson Garcia. She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Pedro Villareal, Sr., and great-grandmother, Olga Goytia. Survivors include her loving parents, Desiree Guardiola and Nelson Garcia; half-brother, Zay Garcia; grandparents, Leticia Mertz and Javier Vasquez, Jason Guardiola, Sr., Cynthia Garcia and Nelson Goytia; great-grandparents, Melinda Mertz, Maria Garcia, Carlo Rampa and Jessee Goytia; aunt, Kayla Vela; uncles, Arthur Vela and Jason Guardiola, Jr.; numerous other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Mertz and Jason Guardiola, Jr.
