Emma Jean McKenzie, age 92 of Seguin, passed away on March 13, 2025.  Emma Jean was born on September 15, 1932 in Seguin, Texas, to Emma Ida (Hilbrich) and Earl Raymond Martin.

Emma Jean attended Seguin Schools 1st through 12th grade graduating from Seguin High School in June of 1951.  She attended Southwest Texas State University from 1951 to 1953.  In February of 1954 she married Stan McKenzie.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, her parents and her sister, Earline Rabe and her husband Roland, brothers-in-law, Dr. Charles Eldon McKenzie and Kenneth McKenzie, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Day.

Survivors include her daughters, Kaye Geary and husband, Mike, and Donna McKenzie; son, John McKenzie and wife, Dr. Heather McKenzie; grandchildren, Jensyn Kaplan Gurtz and husband Zach, Baily Kaplan Avery and husband Luke, Chase McKenzie and Matthew McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Olivia Gurtz, Emersyn Gurtz, and Tucker Avery; several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of loyal lifetime friends.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
