Erna Koepp of Staples, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 13, 2018 after a rich full life at the age of 102. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Friedens Church with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with a reception to follow at Friedens Activity Center. Erna was born on August 8, 1915 in Orange Grove Texas to Walter and Ida (Dreibrodt) Erxleben. She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin A. Koepp, her parents, her father and mother-in-law, Otto and Anna Koepp, brother, Helmuth Erxleben and wife Evangeline, sister, Hertha Braune, brother-in-law, Reno Koepp and wife Virginia. Survivors include her son, Noble Koepp and wife Kay of Lubbock; daughter, Sharon Atzger and husband Jimmy of Seguin; grandchildren, Kristi Miller and husband Rick, Kelly Del Bosque, and Steven Koepp all of Lubbock, Tammye Barnes of Fort Worth and Brian Atzger and wife Audra of Seguin; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law, Elrine Schmidt and husband Archie of New Braunfels and many devoted nieces and nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friedens Church, 2555 Friedens Church Road, Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the charity of one's choice.
